…Chris submitted the EDC Bowie to The Martialist in the hope that the design would resonate with pragmatic students of self-defense. In this, he will not be disappointed, for the initial response to pre-publication photos was overwhelming.

This particular sample is of 01 Tool Steel and was made for Chris by Dylan Farnham of Canada. The handle is micarta; the sheath is Kydex. A short lanyard with a metal skull bead was affixed to the sheath (not the handle) prior to shipping. READ THE FULL ARTICLE ON THE MARTIALIST

Dylan met actress Sharon Lawrence recently in the beautiful mountain community of Idyllwild. She put it best when she said Sage Blades knives are “Sexy, Dangerous, Glamour.”

Sage Blades knives were featured on the runway of Haute Natured during Miami Fashion Week in July 2011 as the hottest accessories worn at designer Linda Loudermilk’s unveiling of her Compostable Swimwear.

He also taught some of the Awajún men how to best sharpen their knives. They invited him to do a workshop on the next trip, to teach them how to make their own custom knives that could last them a lifetime from old car parts and other reclaimed metals.
